Has anyone else been following the case of Mario Danilo Espinal's tragic hit-and-run in Center Point? I read about it a while back, and it just continues to sit heavy on my mind. I can’t imagine the pain his loved ones are enduring, and I really hope that sharing information could lead to some kind of resolution. Something that I've been thinking about is how common pedestrian accidents have become, especially in that area. It seems like traffic safety has taken a huge backseat. It’s scary to think that someone could just hit a person and leave them there without a second thought. I really hope the authorities are making progress in tracking down whoever's responsible. It would be such a relief for the family to have some answers and closure. In the meantime, it would be awesome if folks in Birmingham could rally together and maybe put some pressure on local authorities to increase patrols or implement better lighting in those poor visibility areas. Anything that might help prevent something like this from happening again. Sending thoughts and strength to the Espinal family during this incredibly difficult time.
