I’ve been thinking about the route Betty Ann might have taken when she left that day. Highway 92 would have been a significant road to be walking towards, especially for a teenager on her own. Does anyone know what kind of traffic flow was typical on Highway 92 back in ’85? Was it mostly locals, or could there have been a lot of out-of-town drivers? I’m wondering if it would be unusual for someone to offer a hitchhiker a ride back then, especially a young girl. If anyone local to the area remembers what businesses or landmarks were around at the time, that might give a clearer picture of what Betty Ann could have encountered on her way down that road. Anything to help connect the dots on what may have happened to her would be invaluable!

I was digging through some old articles and came across Betty Ann Holt's case. Something that's been on my mind is why there was so little media coverage when she disappeared. Being just 15 and walking towards a major highway like Highway 92, it feels like there should've been more noise about it. I know the '80s were a different time for missing person protocols and media alerts, but the lack of follow-up reports has me wondering. Did anyone ever check if there were sightings near truck stops or local hangouts along the highway? It seems like a logical step considering her last known direction. Any locals here from back then have any insights or remember hearing anything?
