Has anyone considered how the heavy forest cover around Savanna Portage State Park might affect search efforts? I mean, with all the trails and dense woods, I can't help but think it would be so easy for someone to get disoriented or lost. I've been looking at some maps, and it seems like the area is pretty expansive. If she wandered off the main paths, it might be really challenging for search teams to cover ground efficiently. I wonder if they’re using drones or special tech to try and spot anything from above? It feels like time is such a critical factor in these situations, and any insights on how searches operate in heavily wooded areas like this could be useful.
Hey everyone, I was browsing through the discussions and I noticed that we haven't talked much about the weather conditions on the day Tonya disappeared. On September 4th, if I remember correctly, there was a bit of a cold snap in McGregor, with temperatures dropping significantly in the evening. Considering Tonya was wearing shorts and a t-shirt, do you think there's any possibility she went off in search of warmer shelter and got lost in the process? It might be something worth discussing further, as it could explain why she might have strayed from the usual paths. What do you guys think?
