Hey everyone, I've been looking into the disappearance of Marie Thompson from Springfield, and there's one aspect of the case I find baffling. Her car was found parked at the trailhead of Cedar Ridge Trail, still locked and with her phone inside, yet witnesses claim she left on foot earlier that morning, seemingly in good spirits. Why would someone go on a hike without their phone, especially with no immediate plans to meet anyone? I've hiked that trail before, and it's not one you'd want to be caught on after dark. Does anyone else find it odd that she wouldn't bring her phone along, or is it possible she intended to meet someone else and just didn't want to take it? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Sarah Matthews, the young woman who vanished a few weeks back after she was last seen leaving her apartment on foot. Something that really sticks out to me is the fact that her phone and wallet were found at her place. I keep wondering why she would leave those behind. It's such an unusual detail. Could it mean she planned to return shortly, or could something have happened unexpectedly?
Another thing that's been on my mind is the security footage from the area—there's been no mention of any camera sightings. Is it possible there's just no footage, or is law enforcement keeping that info close to the vest for investigational purposes? Curious if anyone else here knows more about how these kinds of evidence are typically handled. It just seems like nowadays, there's always a camera somewhere.
Anyway, this case has been on my mind a lot, and I'm hoping for answers soon, both for Sarah's family and everyone else who's so invested in finding her. Thanks for letting me share my thoughts, and if anyone has insights or similar case examples, I'd love to hear more.
