Hey everyone, I've been looking into Chase Hanson's case and there's a detail that's been bugging me. Wasn't Pāʻia pretty close to where the Maui wildfires happened? I've been trying to find more info on how close those areas were. Knowing if he was anywhere near the fires could provide some insight if his disappearance might be related. The timing seems like more than a coincidence to me, especially with that other Chase Hanson showing up on the FBI's unaccounted list. Does anyone have a map or resources showing the spread of the wildfires in relation to where he disappeared from? I'm trying to piece together any potential overlap in locations. Any thoughts or info would be appreciated!

I recently came across the case of Chase Hanson and something that piqued my interest was the timing and location details shared by the family. It's kind of odd how there seems to be a disconnect between the last time Chase was seen and when he was reported missing. If he disappeared in early April 2022 but wasn’t reported until nearly two months later, I wonder why that gap exists. Was it because he often went off-grid for long periods, or did something unusual happen during that time? I know it's just speculation, but it makes me wonder if whoever saw him leave Maliko Gulch might have more insights into what was going on around that time. Any locals from Pāʻia or anyone with Maui ties have thoughts on this?
