Did anyone else see that Officer Fitzgerald mentioned this might have been a targeted attack? It makes you wonder about the motive behind it. Was Jamal involved in something, or did he just have enemies? It's so troubling to think about how a routine stop at a gas station could turn deadly so quickly.
My heart goes out to Jamal's family and especially to the woman who was with him. I can’t imagine how traumatizing this must be for her. She’s so lucky that her injuries weren’t from the gunfire, but I hope she’s getting the support she needs.
If anyone has any more info or theories, please share. It feels like there might be more to this story. Stay safe, everyone.
I just can't get over how it feels to be reading about another senseless act of violence. I was drawn to the details of the shooting at the Marathon gas station on Pinson Valley Parkway, especially the part about how there seemed to be a car involved that approached Jamal Ali Abdulahe’s vehicle. The idea that this was potentially a targeted crime is really chilling to me.
What I'm curious about is whether anyone knows about why Jamal or the woman with him might have been targeted.
