I recently came across the Kevin Verville Jr. case while scrolling through the forum, and something struck me about the whole situation with the fake social worker. It's chilling how the kidnapper seemed to know exactly what to do to gain the mother's trust. I've always been curious about how she might have acquired such specific knowledge about social work procedures. Did she have a background in social services or some kind of related profession? It feels like this wasn't just a spur-of-the-moment decision but a calculated plan. The fact that she even invented a fake agency called "HELP" indicates some level of pre-meditation. Has anyone else considered the possibility that she might have had inside information or connections in social services that allowed her to convincingly pose as a social worker?
Has anyone looked into the sketchy "HELP" agency the abductor mentioned to Kevin's mom? It’s so weird that there's nothing about it anywhere. I mean, was there ever any follow-up to see if other people got approached with the same story? Feels like it might’ve been part of a bigger scheme. Also, with so many similar cases around that time, I wonder if this woman tried to trick other families too. Just trying to wrap my head around how someone gets away with something like this. Anyone have ideas on how social services or similar agencies operated back then? Maybe there’s some common scam pattern that could help shed light on this?
