Sylvester's case continues to pique my curiosity, particularly the role of the Texas Department of Public Safety's partnerships. I've read that they have an intriguing collaboration with the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification. This partnership apparently enables some pretty advanced DNA testing that can cross-reference unidentified remains with missing persons. I've always wondered how effective these collaborations actually are in resolving cases like Sylvester's. Does anyone know if there have been successful identifications made through this particular partnership? It seems like an essential tool, especially with so many families still awaiting answers.
