I’ve been thinking a lot about the courage it takes for people to come forward in cases like Walter Gallegos’. It’s so frustrating knowing that there were so many witnesses at that party, yet so few are willing to speak up. I wonder what it is that holds them back—fear, loyalty, or maybe just the desire to forget that night ever happened. My heart goes out to Walter’s family; it must be incredibly tough clinging to hope for answers year after year. Maybe someone who attended the party reads these kinds of forums and will feel moved to share what they know. I truly hope that happens and that justice is eventually served.
