I've been reading about Lauren Donelson's case, and I just can't shake the feeling of disbelief that so many in her circle must have felt at the time. From everything gathered, she seemed to be well-loved by her friends and family. It's unimaginable to lose someone in such a violent way. I can't help but wonder about the role of her environment—her apartment, the neighborhood in West Allis—and what, if anything, could have been done to prevent this. Was it an isolated incident, or was there something about that time and place that put her at risk? My heart goes out to John and Deborah, Lauren’s parents. No one should have to endure such a loss. If anyone here is familiar with that area in 2012 or has more context, I'd appreciate your insights. Understanding the environment might help us make sense of this senseless tragedy.
