I’ve been following the case of Gilbert’s tragic death, and something that really stands out to me is the location where it happened. It’s unsettling to know that this took place near S. 14th St. and Barnard Ave., a place that many of us might pass by regularly without a second thought. This just emphasizes how unpredictable and close to home these tragedies can be. My thoughts are with Gilbert’s loved ones; I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for them to grapple with this loss in a place that was part of their daily lives. Does anyone know if there have been any updates on whether this area has seen similar incidents recently? It’s concerning to think of any potential patterns in violence.
