I keep thinking about the senseless nature of Shawn Alford's death and how it has affected the community around 25th Street and Meinecke Avenue. It's scary to think that a disagreement over something as small as a parking space can escalate to such a tragic outcome. Shawn was known as a welcome visitor in the neighborhood, and it's clear from the memorial set up in his honor that he was loved by many. It's chilling to think about how quickly things turned violent. The thought that Darryl Roberts, also known as Lil'D, could just walk up to Shawn's vehicle and open fire is unsettling. This is a reminder of how fragile life can be and how important it is to resolve conflicts peacefully. The fact that Roberts is still not in police custody leaves the community on edge, hoping for justice and a sense of safety to be restored. My thoughts go out to Shawn's family and friends as they navigate through this difficult time.
