I’ve been following the tragic case of James E. Smith and something I keep coming back to is the circumstances under which his death was discovered. I can't help but wonder about the timeline—was anyone at the bowling alley around the time of the murder? It’s disturbing that he was doing his routine job and ended up brutally murdered. It seems so unfair that someone who just went to work, like every other day, became a victim of such violence. My heart goes out to his family and those who knew him back then. Does anyone have insights into security measures that were in place at Hi-Joy Bowl? With a break-in through a back window, were there no alarms or security patrols that might have recorded something? It's so frustrating knowing details that might have provided closure were never collected.

I just stumbled across the James E. Smith case from 1961, and it’s been on my mind ever since. I can’t stop thinking about the poor guy’s family and how long they've been left without answers. It's haunting to consider that he was just going about his routine workday, and such a violent act ended his life. What really puzzles me is the break-in through the back window. It makes me wonder if it was a crime of opportunity or if there was a specific motive behind it. Theories about the police chief being involved are wild, but they can’t be ignored when there's been so much speculation. It's unfortunate that time and lost evidence make it seem impossible to ever know the truth. Sending strength and peace to James's friends and loved ones. This kind of waiting is unimaginable.
