I've been doing some reading about the double murder of Joan Kenny and Robin Brooks back in 1981, and something struck me about the location. Belvoir Farm sounds like such a serene place, yet it became the site of such a horrific tragedy. I can't help but think about the neighbors who discovered something was wrong. It must have been incredibly unsettling for them, living in a close-knit community like that. I wonder what kind of toll it took on the neighborhood, knowing that two of their own were taken so violently. Does anyone know if the community held any vigils or gatherings at the time to support each other and the victims' families? I really hope advances in forensics can finally bring some resolution to this case. It's difficult to imagine the pain the families have carried all these years. If anyone has more details on the community’s response back then, I’d be interested to hear.
