I've been following the case of Thomas Daryle Williams, and my heart truly goes out to his family. It's so distressing to think about how he must have suffered. I recently started wondering about the metal curtain rings found near his body. They seem like a unique detail, and I'm curious if investigators ever traced them back to a particular brand or store. Wouldn't such a specific item potentially narrow down the search if they were part of a unique set? Also, for those more familiar with forensic science, would advancements in trace evidence analysis since the 90s help with something like this? DNA has come a long way, but I'm not sure how it applies to items like curtain rings. It's so frustrating that all leads seem to have gone cold. Anything that might bring comfort or closure to his loved ones would be a small step in healing.
