I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how crazy it is that old cold cases are starting to get solved because of new technology. Like, stuff that’s been sitting unsolved for 20, 30, even 40 years—suddenly, there’s answers. Families who thought they’d never know what happened are finally getting some peace. That’s huge.

There was a case from 1989 that just got solved in 2022 because of DNA testing. I mean, that’s over three decades of waiting. Just imagine the relief for those families. It’s so cool and honestly kind of emotional to see how science is helping people get closure like that.

And it makes me feel like we can all be part of something good. Whether it's spreading awareness, supporting people who are still waiting for answers, or just being kind to each other—this kind of stuff brings people together. It’s not just about crime solving—it’s about healing.

It gives me hope, knowing that even after all that time, the truth can still come out. And that we’re moving in a direction where more families can finally feel some peace.

Anyway, just wanted to share. It’s really amazing what’s possible now

Wow, I was reading about the Peacock case from '89, and I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for their loved ones and the entire Danby community to live with the uncertainty for so many years. It’s fascinating yet chilling how science advanced enough to connect the dots decades later. I mean, Michael being their former son-in-law possibly explains why there was no forced entry, since he could have been someone they trusted. It's a chilling reminder that sometimes the answers are closer than we think. I hope this breakthrough offers some comfort, though it's tragic that it took so long for the family and community to get answers. It’s another testament to the importance of evolving forensic science!
WOW, I just read about the arrest of Michael Anthony Louise in connection with George and Catherine Peacock's murder after all these years. It's unsettling to think that the person possibly responsible for such a horrific crime was related to them by marriage. It's also baffling that he potentially continued his life without answering for such a dreadful act for so long. I really feel for their family—imagine having such a cloud hanging over you for decades, with no answers or closure. It's amazing how advancements in DNA technology can finally bring justice, but also chilling to think about how many more cases might be waiting for similar breakthroughs. Sending thoughts to the town of Danby; this must have been a huge revelation for the community. ?️
