Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of the missing person last seen in Grapevine, TX, and something's been bothering me about the phone pings. It's odd that the phone was active in Grapevine and then seemed to suddenly turn off or lose connection shortly after. If the phone's last ping was there, does anyone think it might have been deliberately turned off to avoid tracking? Or could it have gotten damaged somehow? It just seems like such a sudden drop-off in activity is suspicious. Plus, with the vehicle being in the Charlotte airport's long-term parking lot, it makes me wonder if there was a plan in place. It gives me the impression that either there's more to this story or someone else was involved. Has anyone heard of similar cases where phones just went offline like this? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Has there been an update?

I have looked around online but haven't seen any updates yet. The only “new” thing compared to your original blurb is that Up and Vanished Weekly did a “critical missing” segment on Alexander. That segment adds some timeline and description details:

  • Around 10:41 a.m. on January 18 (of that year), a black 2016 Ford Fusion with NC tag JLS-6635 entered long-term parking at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, believed to be registered to Alexander.
  • The next evening, Alexander’s brother received a text from his phone around 8:45 p.m.
  • The phone then pinged near Grapevine, Texas at about 10:19 p.m., and by 11:38 p.m. it appears the phone was off or disconnected.
  • Physical description given there:
  • Hispanic male, about 5'10", ~175 lbs
  • Shoulder-length brown hair, brown eyes
  • Last seen wearing brown leather boots and dark-wash jeans
  • Tattoos: Japanese-style mask and a standing frog, both on the forearm
  • Scar on his forehead above the eyebrow
  • They direct tips to Mooresville Police Department (704-664-3311), case #2025-000391.
