I’ve been thinking a lot about the Conables’ stolen Mercury Montego and its possible connection to the case. Given the car's distinctive color and model, you’d think someone might have remembered seeing it either by the side of the road or in someone's garage. Has anyone looked into whether there have been any sightings of the vehicle over the years, or if perhaps it turned up abandoned somewhere? I know it was a long time ago, but sometimes even the smallest detail can spark a memory or lead to new evidence. The fact that the CB radios were taken as well is curious to me. Back in 1980, these radios were quite valuable and potentially traceable. I wonder if any pawn shops or second-hand stores in the area were ever checked for similar items at the time. It feels like these objects could have been key in linking to whoever committed this terrible act. I can't imagine what the Conables’ loved ones have been through all these years, longing for answers. Hoping that, together, we can piece together information that might finally lead to some form of justice for them. Anyone with thoughts or information, however small, please share.
