I've been following Sabas Arellano's case and feel drawn to the community efforts that often help keep these situations in the public eye. It’s really important that we continue to talk about these tragic events so they aren't forgotten. I’ve been thinking about how frustrating it must be for his family knowing there are people out there who might have seen or heard something that night but haven't come forward. It's crucial that we create an environment where people feel safe and encouraged to share whatever they know, no matter how small it might seem. Has anyone heard if any new community initiatives are being planned to help bring more attention to cases like Sabas’s? Would love to get involved in any awareness events or discussions. Even the smallest action can sometimes light the fuse for long-awaited justice.
I was reading through the cold case file of Sabas Arellano, who was tragically murdered in 1998, and I can't help but think about how hard this must be for his family. They’ve had to live through decades without answers, while the mystery of what happened to him just hangs over their heads. ? What really puzzles me is the lack of any new evidence after all these years. I know the SAPD’s Cold Case Unit is on it, working tirelessly with the latest technology and collaborating with agencies like the Texas Rangers and the FBI. But without those key pieces of evidence, it’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
It’s cases like this that remind me how important it is for the community to come forward with what they know. Even the smallest piece of information could be the turning point in getting justice for Sabas. It must be incredibly frustrating for investigators too, using every tool available, yet still being stuck. Sending thoughts to Sabas’ family—hoping one day soon, closure will come. If anyone here knows something that hasn’t been shared, I urge you to contact the authorities. You might be that missing piece in this puzzle. ?
