On May 4, 2008, 25-year-old Donjuan White was fatally shot in Houston, Texas. He was standing outside with a group of people in the early morning hours when an unknown assailant approached and opened fire. White suffered critical injuries and died shortly afterward despite efforts to save him.

Investigators treated the death as a homicide and quickly began interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence. Early accounts suggested White may have been targeted, but the motive remained unclear. Progress was hampered by limited physical evidence and by some witnesses who did not cooperate, leaving the case reliant on fragmentary witness statements and forensic work. The killing deeply affected White’s family and friends and became part of broader concerns about gun violence in the city.

Anyone who was in that area of Houston on May 4, 2008, or who has information about the shooting is asked to come forward.
