I keep thinking about Jose Salmeron and the impact his death must have had on his community. It's so tragic to hear about someone who was just trying to better his life and career meet such a violent end. From what I've read and seen in the news, the 7000 block of Bissonnet Street has had its issues with crime. I wonder what steps are being taken to make neighborhoods safer? It’s frustrating knowing there's still no suspect in custody. I can only imagine how tough it is for Jose's family and friends to deal with this loss while also worrying about justice being served. If anyone hears anything new on the case or knows about any community meetings tackling this problem, please share. It's important that we remember Jose and work towards solutions that could prevent senseless violence in our city.
I’ve been following the tragic case of Jose Salmeron for a while now, and my thoughts are with his family and friends. What strikes me is the speed at which the vehicle was reported leaving the scene. It makes you wonder if this was premeditated or if the driver panicked after the shooting.
The area where this happened, Bissonnet Street, has its share of crime, but you never expect it to hit so close to home or affect someone described as hardworking and having dreams for the future. This senseless act not only took away a life but left a ripple effect on the community and those who cared about him.
I hope that advancements in forensic technology since 2009 could help reignite this investigation and bring some justice to Jose’s loved ones. If anyone in the community knows something, anything, it's essential to step forward. We owe it to Jose and those left to grieve his loss. This case serves as a somber reminder of the continuous effort needed to curb violence in our communities.
