Hey everyone, I just had a thought about Roy Whited's case. I was pondering the timing of it all. Last seen around 4:30 p.m., but his phone was left charging at home. Could it be possible that Roy thought he was only going out for a quick walk or perhaps to meet someone nearby? It's odd that someone at his age, so connected and responsible, would leave without his phone, especially when it was so close to being fully charged. Do you think there's something to the idea that maybe he intended to return home shortly after leaving, but something unexpected happened? I don't recall if any other sightings or activity was reported outside of Lovejoy Road, but this detail keeps nagging at me. Thoughts?
Has anyone else been curious about the area where Roy's scent trail ended? From what I understand, the dogs tracked him to the top of a steep bluff, but there was no sign of a fall or any indication he jumped. It seems so strange that a trail would just stop so abruptly like that. Could there be caves or old mine shafts nearby that weren't covered in the search? I know steep terrain can be tricky, and I wonder if there's more to the topography than meets the eye. I’m also curious if there are any locals familiar with that area who might know of hidden spots or trails. Hoping every potential lead is being considered by the investigators and that we can come together as a community to help!
I keep thinking about that gathering at the White County High School gym last month. It's just wild to see so many people come together to support the search for Roy. You can really feel the sense of community here in Sparta. I think it’s interesting how they brought in a private investigator now; it seems like they’re really pulling out all the stops. My heart goes out to Doug Watts too—must be tough knowing he was one of the last to see Roy. I wonder if there’s something about that Lovejoy Road area that hasn’t been uncovered yet. Maybe there's a local who spotted something unusual? Anyway, hoping the increased media attention brings some new leads soon.
