I came across Meliana Cruz's case while browsing NamUs, and I can't stop thinking about the fact that there's so little information available. Does anyone else find it odd that there’s not even a basic description of her physical features listed? It's almost like she vanished into thin air, and there's barely anything for the public to go on. I’m curious if this impacts the investigation or limits what people can do to help. I know that details can be scarce in some cases, but the lack of physical description is really concerning to me. Has anyone seen similar cases where this was the situation, and how was it handled? Hoping more info comes out soon. Thoughts?

I’m really curious about why there’s no specific mention of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) case number for Meliana Cruz. She’s only 17, so it seems like this case would be a fit for NCMEC’s database. I’ve read that they usually get involved in cases involving minors. Does anyone know if there are particular criteria that affect which missing minors are registered with NCMEC? Could it be related to jurisdiction, or maybe something in the initial investigation that made them focus on other resources like NamUs instead? It's just strange because you’d think all avenues would be pursued for a minor. Hoping someone with a legal or LE background might have some insight on this. ?
