Hey everyone,
I’ve been closely following the case of Alijas Gutierrez from Dobbs Ferry, and something that’s been on my mind is the role of social media in these kinds of investigations. With Alijas being 16, you’d imagine there’d be a lot of digital footprints to explore—friends, messages, maybe even posts leading up to his disappearance.
Does anyone know if the authorities are looking into his social media accounts? I've seen in other cases how crucial this can be, especially with teenagers. I'm really hoping they’re leveraging every resource possible, including digital, to piece together any clues.
Would love to hear what others think about the impact of social media investigations in missing person cases, particularly for young folks like Alijas.
Stay safe out there.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Alijas Gutierrez, the teen who went missing from Dobbs Ferry, NY in July. One thing that really caught my attention is how quiet the area is without much CCTV coverage. Given that it's a small village, I wonder how that impacts the investigation.
Do you think the lack of surveillance cameras could be hindering efforts to track his last movements? It makes me think any local tips or witness accounts might be even more valuable in piecing things together. If anyone is in the area or knows it well, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on how this might affect search efforts.
Hoping for some good news soon, and sending strength to his family.
