One detail that really caught my attention was the abandonment of her backpack alongside Highway 50. It got me thinking about how Susan was likely in such a vulnerable state at the time. Imagine being a young woman, probably excited to visit your family, only to encounter such a sinister fate. This case reminds me of how important it is to investigate any small detail. That backpack, her most personal belongings left behind, must hold some clue. It's infuriating that a life so full of potential can be cut short so senselessly. I truly hope that renewed efforts from cold case investigators can help bring some closure to Susan's loved ones. They deserve answers, and Susan deserves justice. It’s been too long. ?️
