I was reading about Adam Sandoval's case, and my heart really goes out to his family and friends. I can't even imagine the pain they're going through. What really got me thinking was the role of the neighborhood dynamics in all of this. It’s unsettling to know that Adam and his family used to live in that complex, which seems like it should have been a familiar and safe place for them. It makes me wonder how much the local environment and past relationships might have played a part in what happened.
Another thing that's been on my mind is how helpless Adam’s mother must have felt being right there during the shooting.
