I was reading about the tragic murder of David Amaya, and my thoughts are with his family and friends as they continue to endure the pain of not having any answers. What stands out to me is the sheer brazenness of the crime. It happened in the early hours when it's quiet and still, which makes me wonder if the shooter(s) were familiar with the area or if it was just a random act of violence. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for David's loved ones to know that there were witnesses who saw people fleeing, yet no arrests have been made. It makes you think about what might have been missed in the immediate aftermath or if someone out there knows more than they've shared. I hope that if someone holds a piece of this puzzle, they find the courage to come forward. This family deserves justice, and every little detail could make a difference. Stay strong, everyone. Let’s hope this case gets the attention it needs to be solved.

I was reading up on David Amaya's case again, and it just got me thinking about the night he was killed. It's so bizarre how things can happen in the blink of an eye. From what I've gathered, the shots were heard around 1:20 a.m. on West Mount Houston Road, and it makes me wonder what the area was like at that time. Was it usually busy at that hour, or was it eerily quiet? Did David pull over because he knew the person or people involved, or was it a random event? It’s tragic to think about how he must have felt in those moments, and my heart goes out to his family and friends who still don't have answers after all these years. Hopefully, with the advancement in technology and more people willing to come forward, they can get the closure they deserve. Keeping my fingers crossed that justice is served someday.
