I recently came across the tragic case of Luis Ramirez, who was senselessly killed back in 2013. Something that's been on my mind is the unique way social media played a role in this case. It's incredible how Luis's father turned to TikTok, of all platforms, in his quest for justice. It really speaks volumes about a father's love and determination. Through his videos, not only did he manage to keep his son's memory alive, but he also sparked a community movement that ultimately led to identifying a suspect. It makes you wonder how many other cold cases could find resolution if people felt empowered to share and support each other in this way. My thoughts are with the Ramirez family—I can't even begin to imagine their pain, but I hope this arrest brings them some peace.
