Has anyone looked into the community response back in '75? I find it so poignant how a community like Mount Shasta, where everyone seems to know each other, reacts to such a tragedy. Elizabeth Weyant was 58 when she passed, and even though many details are still murky, it's evident her loss struck a nerve in that small town. I can't help but wonder how this impacted folks who knew her – like if they banded together for support or if it spurred any local initiatives to help prevent something like this from happening again. It's so important to remember that these aren't just cases; they're real people's lives and a piece of the community history. If anyone has memories of what it was like back then, or knows about any local meetings or gatherings that happened in response, I’d love to hear about it.
