Has anyone else been following the case of Jeffery Machado from 2015? I've recently been reading about the surge in violence in Houston during that time, and it's hard to imagine the pain his family must be feeling, still seeking justice. There were so many shootings that year, it’s like he became just another statistic, but his life was so much more than that. I'm curious to know if anyone has insight into whether increased community involvement has led to any breakthroughs. It seems that Crime Stoppers and the police are doing their best, but it feels like so many voices are still unheard. My thoughts are with Jeffery's loved ones—I can't imagine the frustration and sorrow they endure. Let's hope for some peace and answers soon.
