I've been thinking a lot about the growing number of domestic violence cases we keep hearing about, like the tragic loss of Keith Taylor and the others in Fort Worth back in 2016. It’s truly unnerving how these incidents seem to just keep happening. I really feel for the families left behind—they didn’t just lose someone they love, but often in such a violent and traumatic manner. It makes me wonder how many warning signs were there, if any, and if so, were they even reported or taken seriously? It feels like we need more education and awareness in our communities so people know they have options and support available. Groups like SafeHaven do incredible work, but we need to amplify their message and make sure everyone knows there’s somewhere to turn. My heart goes out to all those affected; no one should ever have to endure something like this.
