I've been following the Juan Powell case since it happened, and I really feel for his family and loved ones who must be yearning for answers. Something that's been on my mind is the role of community tips in these cases. It's frustrating to think about how many crimes remain unsolved just because witnesses or community members might be hesitant to come forward. It's understandable given fears of retaliation, but we need to find a way to foster more trust between the community and law enforcement. Maybe local outreach programs could help bridge this gap, where people feel safer to share what they know. Just thinking out loud here, but every bit of information could be vital in bringing justice for Juan and others in similar situations. What do you all think might help encourage more community involvement in these cases?
