I wonder how severe her dementia was. I hope one day she is found. The not knowing is the absolute worst part.

I was reading about Carol Gemmiti’s disappearance and saw something that caught my eye—it's the use of dive teams in the search efforts around Ossipee Lake. It seems like such a meticulous approach. With Carol's dementia, I wonder if there’s a specific reason they focused so heavily on water searches. I know she was last seen on Bay Point Road, which isn’t too far from the lake, but it got me thinking about how often missing persons cases involve water searches.
Does anyone know more about the protocol for using dive teams in such cases? Are they deployed based on proximity alone, or are there other factors considered? The way they have suspended the active search until more information comes up must be devastating for the family. Hopefully, new tips come in soon. Anyone in the Ossipee area, please keep an eye out for any clues that might help. Remember to call the local police if you see anything at all – no lead is too small!
Hey everyone,
I’m not sure if anyone else noticed this, but I heard that one of Carol Gemmiti's relatives mentioned seeing her around the area where the old hiking trails intersect near Bay Point Road just before she went missing. It got me thinking about whether those trails have been thoroughly searched.
Considering her dementia, Carol might have wandered deeper into the woods thinking she was back home in Florida. I know the police have searched the woods around Ossipee Lake, but trails can sometimes be tricky with lots of nooks and crannies, especially if she got turned around.
I wonder if volunteers or local hiking groups could help in checking more overlooked sections of those trails? There are so many different paths, and sometimes the smaller ones are easy to miss. It’s important to stay hopeful and vigilant—every little sighting or tip could really make a difference! If anyone’s been out near those trails recently, did you see anything that seemed out of the ordinary?
Let's keep sharing information and see if we can bring her back safely. Stay safe, everyone!
I came across the case of Carol Gemmiti, and one detail that piqued my interest was her connection to Florida. Given her dementia, it's possible she might have become disoriented and tried to return to familiar places. Does anyone know if authorities have explored this angle? Could she have tried to find her way back to a location she associates with home, whether that's in New Hampshire or back in Florida?
Additionally, I'm curious about community involvement in cases like this. How effective is the local response in an area like Ossipee? Are there any organized volunteer groups or local tips that have been reported, or has most of the focus been strictly on official search efforts? Understanding the dynamics of local searches might provide insight into areas that still need checking or re-checking. If anyone from the region can chime in, it would be great to hear more about how the community is participating and any unique challenges that the geography presents in a search of this scale.
