Has anyone else been following the Mark Allison case from Capay? It's a story that haunts me, mainly because of how little we actually know about what happened to him back in 1985. I was struck by how common this is for cold cases from that time—so many families left without answers, and it feels like his case just slipped through the cracks. I've been reading up on the forensic limitations investigators faced back then, and it's no surprise these cases struggled to get resolved. They didn’t have the DNA technology we rely on now, and it appears Mark's case might have suffered because of it. It makes me wonder whether advancements in forensic science could finally bring some justice for him and comfort to his loved ones after all these years. If anyone has more information or thoughts on how we can keep cold cases like Mark's in the public eye, I'd be really interested to hear.
