Hey all, just wanted to share some thoughts about the murder case involving Ed LeDuc. It's been on my mind a lot lately, especially how senseless it all seems. I can't stop thinking about the antique rifle that was used to take Ed's life. It's such a chilling detail—something meant to preserve history was twisted into a tool for such a tragic outcome. I keep wondering if the burglars knew what they had in their hands and if there was any hesitation at that moment. Ed was just doing his job, keeping a watchful eye to make sure everyone else could rest easy. My heart goes out to his family and the team at Sharp Hospital. The memory of this incident must cast a long shadow, and I hope they have found some semblance of peace over the years. If anyone has more info or thoughts on this specific aspect, I’d love to hear what you think.
I've been following the tragic case of Ed LeDuc, and one aspect that's been on my mind is the choice of weapon used in his murder. It's baffling and quite disturbing that the burglars chose to attack him with an antique rifle they found in the office. This seems like such a bizarre and violent escalation from their usual modus operandi. Typically, these burglars were there for equipment -- IBM Selectrics and the like -- but that night they turned to violence in such an extreme way. It makes me wonder if they were in a panic and grabbed whatever was closest, or if there was some kind of premeditated aggression against anyone who might have gotten in their way.
My heart goes out to the LeDuc family and everyone connected to the case. The randomness and brutality of this crime must make it incredibly difficult for them to process. If anyone has any information or theories about whether this type of violence was common among these groups, it would be interesting to discuss and might help shed more light on this senseless act. It's been a long time, but the pain and need for justice remain.
