I was reading up on Joshua Hill's case and something that really stands out to me is how his funeral seemed like a testament to the community's collective grief and solidarity. The service at Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church must have been incredibly emotional, with everyone coming together not just to mourn, but to remember and celebrate Joshua’s life. He seemed like someone who really left an impression on those who knew him. It’s unnerving and frustrating that there are still so many unanswered questions surrounding what exactly led up to that tragic day. I genuinely hope that the community’s strength and the determination of the authorities will eventually bring some form of closure to Joshua’s family. Every life lost this way is a reminder of the importance of ongoing efforts to combat gun violence and protect our youth. I can only hope for justice and healing for all affected by this tragedy.
