Hey all,
I've been following Steven Michael Moeller's case for quite some time now and can't help but feel frustrated about the lack of progress after all these years. I wanted to bring up something that keeps nagging at me: the remote location where his body was found near Lakehead.
From what I gather, it's a pretty secluded area, which got me thinking about how or why Steven ended up there. Was he familiar with the area, or was someone else who knew that place involved? It's hard to ignore that whoever is responsible might have chosen such a remote spot on purpose, knowing it would be tough for investigators to find any solid leads.
I feel for Steven's family, who have been waiting decades for answers. It's a cruel limbo to be in. I just hope someone out there remembers something, anything, that could help piece together what happened that day. With all the advancements in technology and forensics, maybe there's still hope for a breakthrough.
Would love to hear anyone else's thoughts on this or if you know more about the area itself back in the '80s. Maybe we can come up with some angles that haven't been explored yet. Let's keep discussing and supporting, in hopes that someday there will be justice for Steven.

Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions around Lakehead, California, on October 17, 1986? I've been wondering if the weather might have impacted evidence collection or possibly played a role in the lack of witnesses. From what I gathered, the area is pretty remote, and if the weather was rough around that time, it could explain why there weren't any people around to see anything suspicious. It's so frustrating to think that something as uncontrollable as the weather might have hindered the investigation and contributed to this case going unsolved for so long. My heart goes out to Steven's family and friends who must still be seeking answers. If anyone has more information on how the weather or terrain might have played a role, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
