Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the case of John Raymond Constant, Jr. and one thing that stands out to me is the role of Marvin Ray "Big John" Pittman. It's eerie to think about how Pittman met his end in Tampa in 1975, just a couple of years after John's murder. Given his alleged ties to the Dixie Mafia as a supposed hitman, I can't help but wonder if his death was somehow connected back to John's murder. Could it have been a case of tying up loose ends? I read somewhere that Pittman, before his death, might have had information that could’ve brought more clarity to what really happened under that bridge in Vonore. If the Dixie Mafia was involved, were they trying to silence him? It’s so agonizing for John's family that answers seemed just within reach, only to have them taken away with Pittman's passing. Does anyone here have insights or theories about Pittman's death? Was it really a coincidence, or a piece of a much larger puzzle? This case just seems to have too many dark layers. My heart goes out to John's family; they deserve to finally know the truth. Hoping for justice, [Username]

Hey everyone, I've been following this case for quite some time, and one thing that keeps intriguing me is the manner in which Ray Owenby was killed. It just feels too convenient and deliberate to be a coincidence. Owenby's death was such a brutal way to go, with being shot four times, and the timing seems too suspicious given the context of John's murder. The authorities thought there might be a connection, but without solid evidence, it was never established. Was Owenby going to spill some beans about John's murder, or maybe he was also about to turn into an informant and got silenced too? It just chills me to consider that he might have known a lot more than he ever got to share with investigators. It's tragic that these lives were caught up in something so sinister. I can't help but feel for John's family, who must have carried so much unanswered anguish over the years. Anyone else here have any thoughts about the potential link between these two murders?
