It's incredibly saddening to think about what Cortez Jones’ family must be going through right now. I read that his mother was really active in the community and always tried to make things better for everyone. It's so unfair that violence would take away such a warm-hearted person from a hardworking family. He was only 22, just starting out on his own journey. It makes me think about all the potential and dreams lost. Do we know if there are any community efforts or vigils planned in his memory? It's important we keep the conversation going about how we can address this violence in Memphis and support families like Cortez's. Sending love to all who knew and cherished him.

Has anyone looked into the gun violence issues at Hamilton High School? I've been reading about Cortez Jones, and it seems he was a former student there. I wonder if the school has had any initiatives to address these kinds of tragedies, especially since they probably impact the student body so profoundly. I can't imagine how friends or classmates are feeling in the aftermath of such a loss. It's devastating to consider how many young lives are cut short by violence in Memphis. Sending healing thoughts to his family and everyone affected. Does anyone know if there are community meetings or forums where these issues are being discussed locally?
