I was reading about the tragic case from 2015 in Memphis and something stuck out to me about the aftermath involving social media. Demarco Hawkins, aka "D Money," basically incriminated himself by bragging online. It's just shocking to think that someone would openly talk about such a serious crime on a public platform, almost like they didn’t think they’d get caught. It’s so disturbing to see how social media can be used in these situations, either as a means to boast about violence or to spread fear. It makes me wonder about the impact this had on the families of Anthony Isom, Michael Glover, and Chastity Springfield. Not only did they lose their loved ones, but seeing this kind of behavior online must have added so much more pain to their grief. It’s hard to fathom such disregard for life and empathy. If any of you have thoughts or resources about the role of social media in criminal cases like this, I'd love to read more about it.
