Hey everyone,
I recently came across the case of Robert who disappeared from Colorado Springs back on March 1, 1987. One thing that's puzzling me is why there wasn't more of a publicized search effort at the time. It's the late 80s, not ancient history, you'd think there'd be at least some media coverage. Does anyone here remember if there was anything in the local news back then? Any newspaper articles or TV spots? Sometimes those initial details can be crucial to understanding what happened.
If anyone has access to archives or lived in the area around that time and recalls anything odd or any rumors floating around back then, it could be really helpful. Even the smallest detail might open up new lines of inquiry. It's been too long without answers for his family.

Has anyone looked into the possibility that Robert might have tried to start a new life somewhere else? I was reading about cases where people vanish and later it turns out they left intentionally. I know it’s a long shot, but maybe someone in Colorado Springs remembers seeing him before he disappeared? Old friends, coworkers, or even neighbors might hold clues without even realizing it. It's crazy to think how many cases stay unsolved because of little pieces of information that just haven't been shared. Does anyone have any info on Robert's state of mind back then or if he ever talked about wanting a fresh start?

I’ve been fascinated by the Robert case from 1987 ever since I stumbled across it. Something that strikes me as odd is how little information there is about his last known whereabouts on that day in Colorado Springs. There's a pretty big military presence in that area because of Peterson Air Force Base and the U.S. Air Force Academy not too far away. Did Robert have any known connections to the military or anyone stationed there at that time? It might be a long shot, but maybe someone might remember something if they were in that area. Thoughts?
