I was thinking about the geography of where Sharalyn was found and how it might play a role in solving her case. The area around Vallecito is incredibly rugged and remote. This has got me wondering if the killer was familiar with the area or possibly even local. How else would someone know about such secluded spots? I’m also curious about whether Camp 9 Road was a known hangout or if it had any specific relevance at the time. Does anyone know if there were prior reports of suspicious activity or other crimes in that area around the early '90s? My heart goes out to Sharalyn’s family and friends. The pain of not having answers must be unimaginable, especially with such horrific details surrounding her death. I’m hopeful that with time and increased public awareness, someone out there will remember something that could shed light on what happened to her. Anyone with information, no matter how small it may seem, should definitely consider reaching out to the authorities.
