Hey everyone,
I've been digging into the case of Larry Harris, who was tragically shot in Memphis back in 2016. Something that keeps coming up in this case is the lack of eyewitnesses or anyone willing to come forward with information. It's frustrating because Larry's family, especially his kids, deserves closure and justice.
One angle I keep thinking about is whether the culture of fear and silence around speaking to the authorities contributed to the stalled investigation. I know Memphis struggled with this during the surge of violence that year, but what can be done to encourage more people to speak out? Have any initiatives been put in place since then to make people feel safer about coming forward?
It's haunting to know that there might be people out there with bits of information that could bring Larry's family the answers they need. My thoughts are with them, and I hope we can see some progress in breaking this cycle of silence.
What do you all think? Any ideas on what's worked in similar cases or what might help here?
Stay safe, everyone.
Hey everyone, as I was going through old news articles, I came across Larry Harris's case, and something really struck me. It's baffling how little information we have even years later. I feel for his family, especially his kids – I can't imagine how hard it must be for them with so few answers.
I noticed a lot of people have mentioned how much violence there was in Memphis in 2016, but something that hasn't been talked about as much is the impact on the local neighborhoods where these incidents occurred. It's not only the families who suffer; entire communities feel this trauma for years. Has anyone else noticed how quiet these cases get over time? It makes me wonder if anything more can be done at the community level to support these areas after such tragic events.
Sending love to the Harris family and hoping someday they find peace and the truth. If anyone has insights or knew Larry, I'd love to hear your thoughts or memories of him.
