Hey everyone, I've been following the Juan Valladares case, and I've been thinking a lot about the community impact after such a tragedy. It is incredibly unsettling to know that something so terrible could happen so close to home. I often think about the Crescent Park neighborhood and the residents who witnessed or heard the events of that horrible night. Living in a place where something so tragic occurred can change the way people feel about their community and their sense of safety. It's almost like a shadow that's been cast over the area. I truly hope anyone in that neighborhood who might have seen or heard anything feels empowered to come forward and share what they know. Even the smallest detail could be crucial. I can’t imagine what Juan’s family is going through during these years without closure, and my heart goes out to them.
