Has anyone else been following the case of Nidia Orellana Vicente? I recently came across an article discussing how dangerous the rip currents were in Panama City Beach around late July. It really got me thinking about how often tourists might underestimate the power of the ocean when they're just trying to enjoy a day at the beach. The area has those warning signs, but they're easy to overlook when you're excited about vacation. It makes me wonder if enough is being done to educate visitors about the risks. Also, does anyone know if the community's pushing for more safety measures or educational initiatives after what happened to Nidia? It's just hard to shake the feeling that more awareness could potentially prevent another tragedy.
