Does anyone else feel that the security at Cane Break Apartments was seriously lacking? I've been reading about Dean's case, and it's just so upsetting to think this could have maybe been prevented with more secure measures in place. I don't live in that area, but I can’t help but think about how many lives are affected and how much anxiety the residents there must be feeling. The fact that no arrests have been made and the motive is still unclear makes me wonder if the lack of surveillance or barriers played a role in the suspect escaping. Even if we can’t go back and change what happened, might it be a wake-up call for better safety protocols in similar complexes? It must be incredibly frustrating for Dean's family to still have so many unanswered questions, and I sincerely hope that someone with information will come forward. If there had been more witnesses or camera footage, maybe there could've been more progress by now. My thoughts are with his loved ones as they cope with this ongoing nightmare.
