Has anyone else been curious about the timing of Damon's disappearance? March 1996 puts it just months after he and his family moved to Tyler. It makes you wonder if there's a chance something in their past caught up with them, or if maybe being new to the area made Damon more vulnerable somehow. It seems like such a short window of time for him to have made connections with people—good or bad—around there. I'm not implying anything about his character, but it's surprising there haven't been any leads if he didn't have deep ties in the community. Wondering if anyone local remembers any unusual occurrences around that time?
Speaking of timing, divorce and marriage records in TX are public. Just 5 months after Damon’s disappearance, his wife had already divorced him and remarried. According to an article in the Tyler Paper, she never reported him missing.
