It's so hard to make sense of what happened to Aucy Andrews. I keep grappling with whether there might have been another way to handle the situation. From what's been shared, it seems Aucy might have had some hearing difficulties - if true, this could have played a big part in how things escalated. It makes me wonder if the situation might have played out differently if there had been a better understanding of any challenges he faced. It must be incredibly painful for his friends and family, who are likely searching for answers and justice right now. It’s vital that we talk about how police can better identify and manage circumstances involving people with potential disabilities. We need open dialogues on this topic to ensure tragedies like this don't continue to happen.
