I've been following the case of Curtis Coney, and it really gets to me how this young man's life was cut short and the lasting impact it has left on his family and community. What is particularly haunting is how it underscores the silence that sometimes surrounds these tragic events. It's understandable, though frustrating, that people might be scared to come forward when so much is at stake. Curtis's family deserves closure, and the community needs healing. It makes me wonder if there's something more civilians can do to support and protect potential witnesses, encouraging them to speak out. Anyone here have ideas or thoughts on how we can better support community members in these situations?
Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about Curtis Coney lately and it breaks my heart that his case is still unsolved. There's been something on my mind about how witness reluctance in situations like these makes it so much more difficult for the authorities to get anywhere. I completely understand the fear people might have, especially in areas with a lot of violence, but I wonder if there are ways to protect witnesses better or create an environment where they feel safer coming forward.
Curtis was only 23, just starting his life, and he was taken away so violently. Seeing his family still without answers after all these years must be truly agonizing. I feel like this is a real opportunity for the community to come together and think of better ways to support those who might hold the key to solving these cases. Has anyone seen any successful community efforts in similar situations? How can we encourage more people to break the silence while ensuring they remain safe?
