Has anyone found it odd how Bass's 1977 Chevrolet Caprice has never been located? Cars that old can be pretty distinctive, especially with its tan and brown color scheme. Even if it was stripped or sold for parts, you'd think some trace would have surfaced after all these years. It's puzzling how neither the vehicle nor William left behind any physical clues. Has anyone heard about scrap yard checks or any follow-up on vehicle registrations over the years? It feels like there has to be some untapped angle with the car itself. Curious if anyone else is thinking along these lines.
Hi all,
I've been following the William Nolan Bass case and something that's been bugging me is the fact that his car, a pretty distinctive 1977 tan and brown Chevy Caprice, was never found. With the wide-ranging searches and the spotlight on West Texas, wouldn't it have surfaced by now, at least abandoned somewhere? It's bizarre that neither the car nor he has turned up after all these years. Has anyone looked into the possibility that the car was dismantled for parts shortly after he went missing? It seems kind of old-school now, but was there any record of similar incidents or chop shops operating in that area around the time of his disappearance? I’d love to hear what others think or if anyone has come across rumors or tips that align with this theory.
